Listing image set · Demonstration
Six images, each doing a different job, each annotated with the Amazon requirement it satisfies. The main image rules are enforced by Amazon and get listings suppressed when broken; the rest are conversion decisions, and that is where most of the work goes.
Amazon treats image 1 as a hard compliance surface. It must sit on a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product must fill roughly 85% of the frame, and it must carry no text, no logo, no watermark, no border, and no prop that is not part of what you ship. Break any of those and the listing can be suppressed without warning.
Every image after the first is the opposite. Text, infographics, lifestyle scenes and comparison charts are all allowed, and they are where the buying decision is actually made. Treating them all like the main image is the most common mistake we see.
Technical floor for all of them: square 1:1, at least 1600 px on the longest side so zoom activates, sRGB, JPEG or PNG.
Product only, centred, filling the frame. Nothing else in the shot. This is the one image where restraint is the requirement, not a style choice.
Pure white RGB 255,255,255 ~85% frame fill No text, logo or borderThree claims, each one checkable. Text is permitted here, so this is where the specifics that do not fit in a title belong.
Text allowed Readable at thumbnail sizeShown beside an everyday object with the weight stated. Removes the single most common pre-purchase question and the returns that follow it.
Dimensions statedThe product in the moment it is actually used. Sells the outcome rather than the object, and gives the listing a human register the main image cannot.
Props allowed Product still the subjectKeeps a shopper inside your catalogue instead of sending them back to search when the first product is not quite right.
Cross-sells the rangeOne claim, stated plainly, and checkable against what is printed on the bag. A claim a buyer can verify is worth more than three they cannot.
No unverifiable claimYours would be built from your real product photography, your real specifications, and the claims you can actually stand behind. We will also tell you which of your current images is at risk of suppression.
